Still getting ready.

Today I changed the oil and air filter for the upcoming trip. Once I finished that I installed the air bags on the rear springs. The suspension on the Toyota is too soft. When pulling a trailer the suspension would bottom out over bumps and would also "porpoise". Of course nothing can be an easy install for me. I had to modify the upper bracket as the fifth wheel hitch was in the way. :(

Once home I piled the three loads of fire wood in the back yard so that it wouldn't be there when I got back. I cut off the rear bumper of the trailer with my saber saw and plan to extent it 22" out so that I can mount a dry box and a bike rack. I then continued to fight with the hot water tank. I had a stubborn leak that I believe I may have fixed (we'll see tomorrow) and I am still having problems with the pilot light blowing out when the main burner shuts off.
Well Zach's birthday is tomorrow so I won't get a lot of work done but I will continue to battle with the hot water tank and see if I can get it to work.
